Gambino’s was founded in 1984 by Dan and Maria Seiler as a franchise. In 1990, the Seilers sold the franchise, but kept the restaurant in Colwich and the Gambino’s name. Dan and Maria have four children: Danielle, Peter, Elizabeth, and Ben. They started out with 6 employees. Now, there are 22 part-time employees, many of which are high school students from the area.
Gambino’s serves pizza, pasta, sandwiches, dessert, salads, a lunch buffet, soups, hamburgers and fries, and last but not least, chicken baskets or wings. The all inclusive menu keeps their visitors coming back for more!
Among several small town differences, Gambino’s grates all their own cheese- approximately 400 lbs. per week! They also make fresh dough at least three times per day, using 25 lbs. of flour each time. There’s no shortage on the goodness in Gambino’s Pizza!
In 2009, Gambino’s celebrated their 25th year in business by remodeling the inside and outside of the restaurant. Flat screen TVs were added, which have been very popular. Included in the perks of dining at Gambino’s is the home-style patio for outdoor entertainment, or drive-thru services.
Gift certificates are available in $5, $10, and $20 denominations. Come by during business hours- during the summer they’re open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every night!
